Downtown Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a city that at the beginning you don’t understand… But when you understand it and you get into the community, you love it forever. -- Gustavo Dudamel

Downtown LA is walking-friendly; in fact, it’s likely one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Los Angeles. it’s ideal for first-time visitors or those with limited time in the city. Among the places you’ll visit are Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Griffith Park, from where you’ll get incredible views! There are countless fantastic things to do and see in Downtown LA. While this post covers all the best landmarks in the area, there’s always something else to do.

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park is a vast protected area in southern California. It's characterized by rugged rock formations and stark desert landscapes. Named for the region’s twisted, bristled Joshua trees, the park straddles the cactus-dotted Colorado Desert and the Mojave Desert, which is higher and cooler. Keys View looks out over the Coachella Valley. Hiking trails weave through the boulders of Hidden Valley. What's special about it? It is an important part of the Mojave Desert ecosystem, providing habitat for numerous birds, mammals, insects, and lizards. Joshua tree forests tell a story of survival, resilience, and beauty borne through perseverance. They are the silhouette that reminds those of us who live here that we are home.
